As we approach the fall, Kings Chorale is getting ready for another exciting season!

First, Monday night brings us our annual corn boil at the Clark’s cottage! It will be great to see everyone again after a restful summer.

Then, on Monday, September 9 we begin rehearsals for our Christmas concert. Rehearsals are held at the Berwick Baptist Church on Commercial Street in Berwick from 7:30 to 9:30.

We are always looking for new singers. If you are interested in singing a combination of easily accessible and challenging music, we would love to have you join us!

Kings Chorale is pleased to announce that it is beginning rehearsals on Duke Ellington’s Sacred Concert. The work, a compilation of three different “Sacred Concerts” was written late in Ellington’s life. It is scored for chorus, soprano solo, and big band. We are excited that the Annapolis Big Band, directed by Richard Bennett, will be joining us for this concert.

In addition, it is probably a work that has never been performed in Nova Scotia before this.

Mark your calendars! Saturday, May 4 at 7:30 pm in The Theatre at West Kings!

See you there!
