Kings Chorale will be performing its annual Christmas concert. The featured piece will be Nancy Telfer’s Noel! with harp and flute. Other seasonal music will also be presented, including carols for choir, brass and audience. Special guests include Isabelle Gagnon, harp; Derek Charke, flute; Maggie Helms, clarinet; and Burgundy Brass. We are very excited to present the premiere of Robbie Smith’s “When the Carols Began” for mixed choir! Join us for an afternoon of music for the Christmas Season!

Join us on Wednesday, May 15 at 7:30 at Wolfville Baptist Church for the Nova Scotia premier of Dan Forrest’s “Jubilate Deo” featuring Elyse Delaney, Christianne Rushton, and The Forrest Players. Also on the program is the world premier of “Three Places in California” written specifically for Kings Chorale by Nova Scotia native Tim Labor.

Our Eternity concert is happening in a matter of hours. The World Premiere of “I Go Among the Trees” written for us by Jeff Enns is early in the program. We are also performing “Requiem for the Living” by Dan Forrest featuring soloists Christianne Rushton, Aaron Caines, and Ryan Harris as well as a chamber ensemble of professional musicians. Our annual Kings Chorale corn boil will be held at Lake George on Thursday, August 31. The first rehearsal of the season will be at Berwick Baptist Church on Monday, September 4 from 7:30 to 9:30. Join us for a performance of Allan Bevan’s Nou Goth Sonne Under Wode: A Meditation on the Crucifiction of Christ and The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass. St. James Anglican Church in Kentville will be the venue for these two dramatically different sacred works. Concert is Saturday, May 6 at 7:30 pm. Kings Chorale is excited to begin our 2016-2017 season on September 5 at 7:30 at the Berwick Baptist Church. Our first concert is on December 11 at 3 pm at the Louis Millett Civic Centre in New Minas. The theme of the concert is Christmas in Song: Sacred, Secular, and Silly.
